Dear Kanaalstraat-Family,

time flies by. We will miss…
international dinners, sangria nights, wild parties, celebrating international customs at Kanaalstraat, spontaneously made-up kitchen parties
•stroopwaffles, Turkish shops, cheap Alter Heijn wine (and Mr. Hejin in general)
•biking by the canals (especially drunken)
•bonding moments (electrical power outrage and “lemon tree” at 2am),
•Tivoli & Poema nights (more or less, ALTHOUGH the super-bad music)
•Movie nights, pre- and after-parties and sleepovers in our room
•Making fun of Catalan food (tuna salad and rice with tomato sauce look fantastic)
•Phillip’s ”AWESOME!!”
•Sergio for reminding all the Spanish “Come on, let’s speak English” and his Spanish gestures
•Kike’s way of making jokes by repeating the last three words of somebody else’s jokes and of course his philosophical conclusions (Oh I heard a sound like a cat… but you Heather, you are not a cat --> very wise)
•Vincent for sharing his food all the time with us (thanks for lemon pie, pizza, quiche, hot chocolate and and and)
•Hampus and Fabian’s “Fucking Catalan”
•Juan checking on Heather in the nights
•Talks about sparkling vampires and werewolves, political discussions whether Robin Hood is a terrorist or not, favorite sex scenes, Barca players, Lederhosen and how Leonardo di Caprio could have survived the Titanic
•Marat’s Wodka and attemps to be a stuntman (behind your baby face you are a certified Russian badass. By the way: what happened in Tivoli? For the future: watch out cars, Absinth and please be careful with your passport!)
•Hampus’ great jokes
•Juan’s heroic efforts to save Hampus’ and Marat’s lives (well done, we believe in your version of the story ;)!)
•Johannes’ Narnia Cards and knowledge of drinking games
•Speculations about what exactly “Fangtasia” is (Andrea will do the spy-work ;)!)
•Zippy aka Filip for his unintentionally funny statements (for me it’s expensive, but for you it is very VERY expensive) and his speakers and music
•Zippy and Zappy for the most creative dance moves
•Juan’s “and besides” , “ I am so fucking retarded”, “I was completely WASTED”
•Valeria’s laugh which went through our walls
•Portuguese Sofia’s chattiness in five different languages about everything and anything and her motherly feelings
•Fabian’s patience (which ends whenever somebody gives us a hard time, then he is not afraid of a fight)
•Juan’s strong will to go out even if it’s already 4 am (I am not wasting alcohol, I have to go out) and the outcome of it (returning from this great party in Beneluxlaan with a broken bike or from the meat factory)
•Spanish Sofia knocking at the kitchen window
to see Marat winning over Phillip in FIFA (don’t worry Phillip, you will have your revenge) and how everybody discussed this for hours
•Shouting JODER and FI FAN!
•Hampus bitching about the messy kitchen and retarded group members and his love and hate relationship to Juan
•Andrea and Hampusito aka Hampe-Stampe teasing each other
•Natalie’s Swiss chocolate
•Rolling cigarettes
•Natalia’s fake Brit accent ;) (hey goooiys, once again)
•Bea’s “ajajaj little Heather and little Lisa” and the talks about her (to be honest) non-existing relationship problems :) and her emotionality
•Utrecht songs! (Tonight’s gonna be a good night!)
•Babis in the kitchen, talking in his passionate Greek accent (which always sounds a little bit angry) and the way he says “and now, I am going to study!”
•Going out with Laura who is always ready to party (even if she has to go all by herself to Cambridgelaan by bike)
•the guys in pajama pants preparing for the next round of FIFA, barricading themselves with pizza and the way they get excited about it
•another round of Flip Cup and Beer Pong
•That we did everything together: hangovers after our parties as well as serious studying periods, colds and stomach flues, even our bikes gave out at the same time
•Vincent’s pictures
•that there was always an angel who cleaned the dishes and the kitchen

Thank you for listening, partying, talking, dancing, sharing, teaching phrases in your languages, supporting, offering your help in every situation!

We hope Denmark will be fun as well, but there won’t be a second Kanaalstraat! Enjoy your time together!

P.S.: Two further announcements: we still can’t believe that we physically survived the first four weeks and Ina: whenever we grow up we wanna become like you :)!
